For BPM the observation is simple: mainstream dating platforms match people without accounting for what actually brings two people together day to day.

So they wanted to launch a new kind of dating app: connecting people who share the same sporting culture and an active lifestyle. Not just a shared interest listed on a profile, but genuine compatibility of rhythms, habits and practice.

The stake for BPM? Making sport the starting point for more coherent, more concrete encounters, where classic apps often stop at appearance.

To get there, they needed a team able to turn their idea into a product and, above all, into an algorithm.

The real challenge came down to two words: relevance and fluidity.

We had to design a matching experience finer than classic apps, grounded in sporting practice, affinities and lifestyle rhythms. That meant an algorithm able to cross varied signals (sports played, levels, availability, habits) to bring genuinely compatible profiles together.

At the same time, the mobile experience had to hold up against dating and social standards: fast, engaging, smooth, with an introduction that makes you want to act. A match was not meant to be an end, but the start of a real workout for two.

1.Framing and UX
We designed BPM around action rather than the simple swipe. The goal: that a match naturally leads to a real meeting, or to a workout to plan together.
2.Designing the matching algorithm
At the heart of the product, we built a contextual matching algorithm that brings profiles together based on their sports, their levels and their lifestyle habits. The introduction is designed to be relevant from the very first match.
3.Building the app
Our team built the complete mobile application: sign-up and profile journey, matching engine, workout sessions organised between users, and built-in messaging to keep the conversation going after the match.

Weekly sync meetings

Every week, a checkpoint let us validate progress, adjust priorities and prepare the next sprints.

Figma prototyping

Before coding, every journey was prototyped interactively. BPM could try the interface for real, adjust the UX and validate decisions very early on.

Continuous test environments

As development progressed, we gave the client test builds. As soon as a feature was ready, they could use it in real conditions and send us feedback so we could iterate fast.

The client stays in full control at every step and watches their product take shape in real time: no tunnel, no bad surprise on delivery.
