The context: making course creation simple and effective
Co-Gito was born from a conviction: learning works better when it is grounded in neuroscience — active recall, adaptive difficulty, spaced repetition.
But turning that approach into a real tool called for a platform able to bring every teaching format together (text, video, quizzes, interactive exercises, flashcards, equations, code) in one simple, accessible interface.
The stake for Co-Gito? Letting trainers, teachers, companies and training bodies build complete, engaging courses without needing any technical skills.
To bring that vision to life, all they were missing was a team.
Make no mistake: building a "no code" editor is harder than it looks — the simpler it feels to the user, the more complex the machinery underneath.
We had to build an editor as approachable as a Google Form, yet able to handle a wide range of interactive formats, with built-in feedback and real-time progress tracking for learners.
All of it had to stay smooth and intuitive, and faithfully reflect the neuroscience principles at the heart of the product (optimal learning zone, spaced revision, and so on).
1.Framing and UX
We worked with Co-Gito to design an authoring experience built for simplicity from day one: "as easy as creating a Google Form". The goal: let users create lesson sheets, exercises and assessment modules in a few clicks.
2.Designing the interactive editor
We built a What You See Is What You Get editor for creating, collaborating on and sharing skills, quizzes and tailored feedback, with fine-grained chapter management.
3.Building the platform
Our team built the complete web application: the authoring interface for trainers, the learning interface for students, progress tracking, and a results dashboard.
Weekly sync meetings
Every week, a checkpoint let us validate the previous days' work, adjust priorities and prepare the next sprints.
Figma prototyping
Before writing a line of code, every journey (trainer and learner) was prototyped interactively. Co-Gito could try the interface for real, adjust the UX and validate decisions very early on.
Continuous test environments
As development progressed, we gave the client staging environments. As soon as a new editor feature was ready, they could use it in real conditions and send us feedback so we could iterate fast.
The client stays in full control at every step and watches their product take shape in real time: no tunnel, no bad surprise on delivery.
To support such a rich interface (WYSIWYG editor, real-time data, many formats) without slowing anything down, we picked several technologies:
- Front-endReact 19, Vite, TypeScript, i18next, KaTeX / MathLive (formula editing)
- Back-endPython, Django + Django REST Framework, JWT
- DatabasePostgreSQL (AWS RDS)
- AIOpenAI via LangChain / LangGraph (quiz generation agent), LangSmith
- HostingAWS (Elastic Beanstalk, S3 + CloudFront)
